San Bernardino County has received 430 Achievement Awards from the National Association of Counties, surpassing the 257 awards it won last year.
That was also the highest number of awards won by any county in the association’s annual Achievement Awards program, according to a statement on the county’s website.
“Keeping residents safe and providing opportunities for them to prosper and achieve well-being requires dedication, innovation and a commitment to excellence,” said Dawn Rowe, board of supervisors’ chair, in the statement. “This achievement reflects the outstanding work of county employees who continuously find new ways to serve our residents and strengthen communities.”
The NACo Achievement Awards recognize county government programs that strengthen services, improve operations and deliver meaningful results for residents, according to the statement.
