Temecula restaurant to open

The site of a former bar and grill in Temecula is being converted into a restaurant that will serve Filipino dishes.

Renzon Filipino Cuisine will be located in a 3,255-square-foot space in the Overland Corporate Center at 41653 Margarita Road, said Mark Esbensen, president and chief executive officer of WestMar Commercial Real Estate in Temecula.

The restaurant, which will be owned and operated by Renzon and Christine Monzon of Temecula, is expected to open by Dec. 1.

The lease is for five years. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Overland Corporate Center is east of Interstate 15 at the northwest corner of Overland and Margarita Roads. It’s near The Promenade in Temecula, a 1.3 million-square-foot regional mall, and several restaurants, including Red Lobster and Olive Garden.

“It’s on the backside of the mall, but it’s near the interstate and there’s a lot of residential density around there,” said Esbensen, who represented the property owner in the negotiations. “It’s a good location. It should do real well.”
