More than 10 major employers are expected to attend a job fair scheduled today in Perris.
The city-sponsored event, which will include entry level to management positions, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Harrison Hall on the Perris Fairgrounds, 18700 Lake Perris Drive, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Representatives from General Mills, Hanes, The Home Depot, Ross Dress for Less, Lowe’s Home Improvement and Alabbasi Construction and Engineering are among those expected to attend, according to the statement.
Officials with several trade unions will provide information about training and apprenticeships, and job counselors who teach resume writing and job interview skills are also expected to participate.
“A lot of these jobs can lead to long-term careers,” Mayor Daryl Busch said in the statement. “We are excited to be able to build [an] employment base in the Perris Valley.”
