More houses were sold in the Inland Empire last month than were sold in any other region in the state, according data released Monday.
Sales in Riverside and San Bernardino counties rose 8.2 percent year-over-year in August, topping San Francisco by 1.7 percent and Los Angeles by 3.8 percent, the California Association of Realtors reported.
Statewide, sales of single-family homes were up 1.3 percent compared with August 2016, as 427,630 homes were sold during the month.
The median price of a home last month in Riverside County was $388,500, up 9.4 percent year-over-year. In San Bernardino County, the median price was $269,950 a rise of 12.2 percent compared with August 2016, the Los Angeles-based association reported.
