The Inland Empire multifamily market posted a solid second quarter.
Occupancy was 96 percent, a 50-basis point increase compared with the first quarter, and the highest occupancy since the first quarter of 2025, according to CBRE.
Recently delivered communities helped the market stabilize, CBRE reported.
Net absorption totaled 1,048 units, up from 132 units during the first quarter. Population growth, and a decline in construction, helped bring about a better supply-demand balance throughout the region.
Construction was the one place where the market faltered. Only 28 new units were delivered during the second quarter, down from 260 units during the first quarter.
Average rent increased 1.3 percent, to $2,350, in the second quarter. Most of that growth happened in more affordable older properties, according to CBRE.
