Three Inland Empire universities and two of its community colleges have been named among the most veteran-friendly institutions of higher learning in the United States by a military publication.
U.S. Veterans Magazine recognized UC Riverside, Cal State San Bernardino, Cal Baptist University, Moreno Valley College and Norco College for giving their military-affiliated students the help they need to achieve personal and professional success.
More than 350 colleges and universities nationwide were named to the publication’s 2025 Top Veteran-Friendly Schools list.
Rankings are based on self-reported surveys and independent research conducted by the magazine. Institutions were selected based on their veteran resource centers, student veteran organizations, and how much academic credit the school awards for military training.
Nineteen California schools were included on the list, including two others in the Cal State system: San Jose State and San Diego State.
