Ontario International Airport accommodated a record number of international passengers in 2025, the result of more nonstop service to Latin America and Asia.
Five hundred sixty-seven thousand international travelers passed through Ontario International last year, nearly a 30 percent increase compared with 2024, according to the Ontario International Airport Authority.
Ontario International attracted 7.1 million passengers last year, a 0.4 percent year-over-year increase. Six point five million of those were domestic passengers.
For December, the total passenger count was 604,995, an increase of 0.2 percent compared with one year earlier. That’s a solid number, but airport officials are especially pleased with the international count.
“We are particularly gratified by the growth in international travel,” said Alan D. Warner, authority president, in a statement. “A region of this scale merits more than one global gateway, and Ontario International is stepping up to meet that demand.”
Ontario International handled 833,129 tons of freight and mail in 2025, a 5.3 percent year-over-year increase. In December, those numbers were 86,842 tons and a 4.7 percent increase, according to the authority.
