Reinertson named fire marshal

Adria Reinertson has been named Murrieta’s fire marshal.

Reinertson has spent 25 years working in community risk reduction, most recently as deputy fire marshal with CAL-Fire/Riverside County Fire, according to a statement on the city’s website.

She began her career with the Santa Ana Fire Department in 1997 as a fire prevention Reserve, and two years later joined the Fountain Valley Fire Department in Orange County, where she worked as a hazardous materials specialist.

Reinertson joined the Riverside County Fire Department in October 2014 as a deputy fire marshal and was assigned to Moreno Valley. From January 2019 until earlier this month, Reinertson oversaw the department’s strategic planning division.

In Murrieta she will oversee the department’s community risk reduction division, including safety inspections, plan review, certificates of occupancy, fire investigations, and fire safety education, according to the statement.
