Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday Morning at 9:30 on AM590

Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national current events and politics, with a few mortgage tips along the way. Ed delivers intelligent, entertaining radio that makes hard news easy to understand!

This week, Ed starts the show by welcoming U.S. Senate candidate Tom Del Beccaro in advance of the California primary on June 7. Mr. Del Beccaro is the leading Republican in the race to replace Barbara Boxer in the Senate; his primary challengers are California Attorney General Kamala Harris and Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, both Democrats.

On this week’s show, Ed asks Del Beccaro why it’s so crucial that they vote in Tuesday’s primary, and why it’s especially important that they vote for him in the Senate race. He replies that the most critical reason is to ensure a Republican gets on the ballot in November thanks to California’s “top two” election system. “If we don’t get someone in the top two, then we’re shut out this fall,” Del Beccaro says. “We really need people to come out and coalesce behind a single Republican. Kamala Harris would be just as bad as Boxer; we don’t need two and a half decades of her.”

You’ll also hear Del Beccaro discuss his flat tax plan, his ideas for job creation in the state, and his plan for solving California’s water crisis. He starts by pointing out the faulty pipes in many of the state’s water municipalities. “The water district pipes are leaking somewhere between 10 and 16 percent of all their water,” he says. Plus, “Environmentalists are restricting the water because they want us to move out of the state.” He encourages people to read more information at TomDel.com. “I’m the only one with a comprehensive water plan,” he says.  As for job creation, “We need to leave more money with the private sector, and make it cheaper to be in business,” he says. “As a small business attorney for 28 years, I’ve watched businesses deal with these things.” After hearing the highlights of the candidate’s tax plan for individuals and businesses, Ed encourages listeners to vote for Del Beccaro for Senate this Tuesday, June 7.

In the second half, Ed addresses the criticism the media is aiming at Trump University in light of the court records being unsealed. “Everyone has their programs,” Ed says. “Rich Dad Poor Dad, Tony Robbins…And do they work? Yes, they all work…if youwork them.” The same is true for Trump University, he says. Ed has some great anecdotes about real estate investing that listeners need to hear, especially if they’re opposed to Trump because of the Trump University controversy. If you tune in this week, you’ll get the perspective that only a real estate and mortgage expert of Ed’s caliber can offer! You’ll also hear his hilarious take on Hillary’s criticism of what she calls “Trump U.” “Hey Hillary, Trump U isn’t a place!” Ed says. “It was a series of books and tapes.”

In the final minutes of the show, Ed addresses the media’s hype around Trump’s charity fundraising for vets, something he feels strongly about because of his own passion for veterans’ charities. He wraps things up with some inspirational words for listeners. Don’t miss it!
