Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday Morning at 9:30 on AM590

Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national current events and politics, with a few mortgage tips along the way. Ed delivers intelligent, entertaining radio that makes hard news easy to understand!

San Bernardino has now been unseated as the site of the deadliest terror attack since 9/11 due to the terror attack in Orlando, Florida on June 12. Ed and his guest Joey Jones are analyzing the various reactions to the terror attack at the Pulse nightclub, which killed 50 including gunman Omar Mateen, who had pledged his allegiance to ISIS in a 911 before carrying out the attack.

In regards to the President’s statement on how the gunman may have become radicalized, Joey says, “The threat of global terrorism has been around since we’ve been around. People in this country have accepted and embraced the victim mentality so much…and this is what comes from it.” Ed’s thoughts are similar, and you’ll hear plenty of them on this week’s show.

We’re also talking about the President’s angry tirade against those who want him to use the phrase “radical Islam.” After playing the audio of Obama saying, “What would calling it ‘radical Islam’ accomplish?” Joey says, “Here’s what it would do: It would allow us to focus on a mosque that has now bred not one, but two terrorists worldwide. I don’t have anything against the religion of Islam; what I do know is that ISIS is using that religion to get people here in this country to get activated, so we have to fight what they’re using.”

Next, you’ll hear some comments from Dr. Sebastian Gorka, who spoke in Riverside this week at an event sponsored by AM 590 The Answer. Tune in to find out what Dr. Gorka thinks of the phrase “lone wolf” terrorists; you’ll hear Ed agree and Joey disagree, both of which are informed positions for you to consider. As always, there are also differing opinions when it comes to Donald Trump; so tune in to hear the back and forth!

In the second half, Ed and Joey will talk about the “blame everything else” phenomenon among Democrats and the media right now: blaming guns, blaming Republicans, blaming Christian voters…everything but the religiously-based root cause of global terror. As an improvised explosive device specialist in the Army, Joey has some great insight you don’t want to miss – and as always, Ed does too.

In the final moments of the show, you’ll hear a former Department of Homeland Security employee reveal that the government ordered him to scrub certain names off the terrorist watch list – an action that had disastrous implications for national security. You’ll be enlightened and entertained when you tune in to The Main Event this week!
