Inland TV network gets new public affairs officer

Bob Blancato has been named the Loma Linda Broadcasting Network’s public affairs officer.

Blancato, who has more than 40 years experience in corporate public affairs and commercial broadcasting, will be responsible for promoting the Christian-oriented network locally and nationally, according to a statement.

Founded in 1996, the Loma Linda Broadcasting Network is a non-profit television operation. Its programming comes from the Loma Linda University Church of Seventh Day Adventists, which is on the Loma Linda University campus.

Blancato is promoting the network’s new app service for Android and iPhone platforms. He will also be a liaison to local Seventh Day Adventist churches, the church’s North American division and its general conference, according to the statement.

The network has two English channels as well as Christian-themed channels in Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese. Its programming is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
