Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national, regional and local current events, as well as trends in the local real estate market. Ed delivers intelligent radio with unique, witty and irreverent flair.

Ed opens his show this week with a clip from the movie “Patton,” in which George C. Scott declared that Americans love the sting of battle and don’t tolerate losers. Ed reminisces about those times, which are a stark contrast to our current foreign policy.

As Ed predicted, Fannie Mae has changed their guidelines regarding home foreclosures. In the past when a borrower declared bankruptcy foreclosure proceedings halted until the judge mandates when lenders can continue with the process. Oftentimes lenders would fail to proceed with the process due to lost paperwork, and that borrower would have to wait up to seven years after the property was foreclosed on to purchase another home. Tune in to learn how the new regulation benefits homeowners who include their homes in bankruptcy proceedings.

Ed warns homeowners who are waiting for relief through Obama’s HARP (Home Affordable Refinance Program) that it will never come. In addition, Ed offers advice to those who are upside down on their homes and clarifies what a reverse mortgage is.

Ed turns his attention to the brutal beheadings of two American journalists over the past two weeks, the first was James Foley, and the second who was murdered this past Tuesday was Steven Sotloff. As the world looks on in horror, there is yet anything to be done about the slayings from the White House. Ed plays Sotloff’s final message addressed to Obama. He may not agree with all of Sotloff’s opinions, but he does believe he deserved to be heard.

Ed condemns the barbaric cowards and expresses his rage about their beheadings, as well as criticizes the lack of action on behalf of Obama with regards to the double murders.

September 11 is coming up next Thursday and Ed plays his 25-minute 9/11 special that will stir up feelings and remind those of you who forgot, the significance of that attack on U.S. soil.

Catch Ed Hoffman, host of The Main Event, on air this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with encore presentations at 9 p.m., and Sunday at 4 p.m.
