Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national, regional and local current events, as well as trends in the local real estate market. Ed delivers intelligent radio with unique, witty and irreverent flair.
Ed begins the show with some fun, informative real estate talk. He wants buyers to know that when they make an offer on a home, the only thing the seller is concerned with is whether the home will close. Ed assures listeners that if their loan is with Wholesale Capital, it will close. “We close on time,” he says. “If we give you a letter that says you will close, short of you dying or losing your job, you will be in the house.” This week’s show is full of helpful real estate tips and valuable mortgage information for everyone, including first-time buyers, move-up buyers and Veterans – so if you’re in the market for a home, you don’t want to miss The Main Event this week! There is also lots of information for seniors interested in a reverse mortgage. “None of the local guys are doing them, but Wholesale Capital is,” Ed says. “They’re a great product for seniors; don’t be afraid of them!”
In regards to the Senate Intelligence Committee report on enhanced interrogation techniques used by the CIA after 9/11, Ed has strong opinions. If the Senate has a problem with the United States using so-called “torture” tactics on terrorists who contributed to the murder of 3,000 Americans and the events thereafter, “Then I think we should just stop the catch-and-release program,” Ed says, “and give them a needle full of sleepy juice instead.”
Meanwhile, the President called the committee’s report “important” because, “One of the things that sets us apart from other countries is that when we make mistakes, we admit them.” He believes that the tactics detailed in the report do constitute torture. Ed responds, “What happens if we can’t get anybody to volunteer for our military now, or be a cop? If they’re going to throw the CIA guys in court and prosecute them, why would anyone want to go in the CIA?”
Ed contends that President Obama is not the President of everyone in the United States, and it’s by his own choice. He criticizes our soldiers, our intelligence agents and now our law enforcement officers at every opportunity. With every passing year of his presidency, he has pushed more “emergency” agenda items, most recently legislation that essentially grants amnesty to illegal immigrants. More and more, he has revealed to us what his true priorities are – and it’s pretty clear that protecting the American people is low on the list.
