Inland Empire Non-Profit Receives Award

KVCR, the radio and television stations owned by the San Bernardino Community College District, has been named the 2015 Non-Profit of the Year by the Inland Empire Economic Partnership.

That award, which was presented last month, is given to the non-profit that best helps to promote economic development and a better quality of life in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, according to a district statement.

“We are very proud of KVCR FM/TV,” said John Longville, president of the district’s board of trustees, in the statement. “It is known throughout the Inland Empire for the quality of its programming and its commitment to providing our community with accurate, stimulating content from [a] wide range of perspectives.”

The economic partnership is the Inland Empire’s largest economic development agency. Its purpose is to attract jobs and otherwise improve the region’s economy, according to the statement.
