Menifee recently adopted the largest budget in its 17-year history.
The city in southwest Riverside County will operate with a budget of $129 million during the 2025/26 fiscal year, which began July 1, and a $134 million budget in fiscal year 2026/2027, according to a statement on the city’s website.
During the next two years, Menifee will spend $113 million on public safety, enough to support 122 full-time positions in the city’s police department, along with code enforcement operations and dispatch services shared with Murrieta.
Menifee will continue to contract with Riverside County for fire protection and emergency medical services, and it will invest nearly $30 million on several infrastructure projects.
“This two-year budget reflects our commitment to thoughtful long-term planning, responsible fiscal stewardship, and delivering high-quality projects and services to our community,” said City Manager Armando G. Villa in the statement.
