Moreno Valley has added 14 locations to its WiFi Gardens program, all in the southeast corridor of the Edgemont neighborhood.
The expansion runs from Frederick Street on the east to Day Street on the west, and from Alessandro Boulevard south to Bay Avenue and Cottonwood Golf Center to the north, according to a statement on the city’s website.
The Edgemont neighborhood is on the western edge of the city.
Moreno Valley’s WiFi Garden program now has 62 locations. It gives residents and visitors free internet access while visiting parks and other city facilities.
“Access to reliable internet is essential for education, job searches, small businesses, and staying connected with loved ones,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “By expanding our WiFi Gardens in the Edgemont corridor, we are continuing to invest in digital equity and opportunity for Moreno Valley families.”
