A TK-8 school has opened in Perris.
Granite Hills School, located at 200 Ethanac Road, opened Aug. 14, according to a statement on the city’s website.
The school is part of the Romoland School District and will serve Perris and its surrounding communities. It will offer enrollment for local residents and limited transfer opportunities for families outside the district.
Officials plan to launch a program for kindergarten and first grade students that will help them develop bilingualism, billiteracy and cultural understanding.
“The opening of Granite Hills TK-8 is a tremendous opportunity for our city,” said City Manager Clara Miramontes in the statement. “This school embodies the future of education – forward-thinking, inclusive, and rooted in community values. We’re proud to support an environment where all children can thrive and grow.”
