Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590

Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman, as he discusses national, regional and local current events in addition to trends in the local real estate market. Ed delivers intelligent radio with unique, witty and irreverent flair.

This week’s show opens with an audio clip from the movie “Act of Valor,” a movie about courage and patriotism of the Navy Seals that Ed highly recommends. The audio clip that will be played on the show highlights character, which Ed believes has been called into question this past week.

Ed expresses his disappointment in the lackluster anniversary of 9/11 and the apathy that has beleaguered this country. He strongly encourages listeners to watch 9/11 specials, including his tribute of that fateful day at www.edhoffman.net, to remind us of the tragedy that brought out the best in us as Americans.

Ed plays a clip from Bill Whittle’s latest video titled “President Coward,” which strongly criticizes President Obama of his delayed action in regards to Benghazi and the failed rescue mission of James Fowler and other American hostages. The video details the reasons for Obama’s hesitation that Americans should be made aware of.

As many listeners know, President Obama delivered a speech on the eve of the 9/11 anniversary; tune in to hear Ed’s thoughts on the speech that outlined for us, and ISIS leaders, what America’s strategy will be. He also provides examples of domestic terrorism for those who still maintain that it will never occur.

An interesting news tidbit out of Michigan regarding a Michigan State University professor who sent an email to Muslim students protesting a Danish cartoon solicits high praise from Ed. Finally someone is standing up to the infantile objections from a community that is highly critical of our Western ideology.

Ed expresses his opinion about the protests of fast food chain workers demanding $15 per hour, reminding listeners that those types of jobs were intended for high school students to learn work ethic and earn some spending cash, not for people to support a family.

Ed concludes his show with the suspension of Ray Rice from the NFL and his opinion about athletes being paid millions of dollars to simply entertain and be role models. He urges people, including the president, to fulfill the jobs they are tasked to perform – is it really that difficult?

Catch Ed Hoffman, host of The Main Event, on air this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with encore presentations at 9 p.m., and Sunday at 4 p.m.
