Massive Fontana logistics building sold

A 1.2 million-square-foot warehouse-distribution building in Fontana has been sold.

Bridge Logistics Properties, a investment management company that operates nationwide, bought the structure at 10681 Production Ave. for an undisclosed sum, according to a company statement.

The transaction, one of the largest in the Inland Empire this year, involved one of the few “big box” industrial structures on the region’s west end.

“This is a defining acquisition, not just for Bridge Logistics, but for the broader logistics market,” said Paul Jones, the company’s managing director, in the statement. “Assets of this scale, quality, and location are scarce.”

The seller’s name was not released.

BLP plans to make several improvements to the property, including sprinkler head upgrades, dock packages, and office improvements.

“The Inland Empire remains one of America’s premier logistics markets with its population density and strategic port infrastructure,” said Brian Gagne, spokesman for Bridge Logistics, in the statement.
