JetBlue will begin a seasonal route from Palm Springs International Airport to Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Starting Dec. 18, the popular discount airline will offer two weekly nonstop flights, on Thursday and Sunday, between the two airports that will last until March of next year, according to a statement Palm Springs’ website.
JetBlue already runs seasonal flights from Palm Springs International to JFK International in New York and Logan Airport in Boston. Those routes are expected to start Nov. 6 and Dec. 19, respectively.
“The City of Palm Springs is delighted that JetBlue will add another terrific nonstop route from PSP that our residents and visitors can enjoy,” said City Manager David H. Ready in the statement. “This is terrific news for Palm Springs and the entire Coachella Valley region, and we thank JetBlue for their continued investment in Palm Springs International Airport.”
Most new JetBlue routes use Airbus A320 aircraft, which free Fly-Fi, free, live DirectTV, and SiriusXM radio programming, according to the statement.
