Perris residents will be able to dispose house, garage and backyard waste at the city’s “Fall 2017 Cleanup,” scheduled to be held Sept. 16.
The event will be held from 7 a.m to 2 p.m. at the Orange Empire Railway Museum, 2201 S. A St., according to a statement on the city’s website.
Trash, furniture, beds, metal, green waste, carpet, glass, plastic refuse, electronic waste and tires are among the items that will be accepted. Paints, oils, turpentine, flammable liquids and other hazardous waste will not be taken.
At the same time, Perris Code Enforcement will hold a “shred-a-thon” at city hall, 121 N. D St.
Proof of Perris residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, is required to participate at both events.
CR&R Inc., the city’s waste contractor, will be open to Perris from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m Sept. 11 to Sept. 15. Perris residents may drop off two loads during the week and pick up a free load of compost.
CR&R is at 1706 Goetz Road.
